How integrated wellness-room planning works
The sequence begins with use and building conditions, then narrows to components. That keeps the room coherent when several specialists share responsibility.
1. Define the room program
Record intended uses, users, sequence, privacy, circulation, changing, storage, indoor or outdoor conditions, and whether the work is new construction or a retrofit.
2. Map the building interfaces
Identify structure, water, drainage, moisture, ventilation, power, controls, acoustics, equipment heat, access, and finish responsibilities.
3. Build one coordinated responsibility matrix
Name who designs, supplies, installs, connects, tests, warrants, and maintains every interface. Resolve gaps between architect, engineers, builder, integrator, and component suppliers.
4. Compare complete scopes
Normalize inclusions, exclusions, allowances, owner-provided work, investigation, permits, temporary protection, commissioning, documentation, and aftercare.
5. Plan commissioning and ownership
Define testing, training, maintenance access, consumables, replacement paths, service response, and the documents delivered at handover.
